Below are our pix from this year's evening at the fair:

Wine and cider presses 2009 Summit County Fair Tallmadge Ohio

The displays in the historical museum were entertaining - we laughed at the fashions from pattern books, marveled at the antiques and enjoyed seeing how things have changed!

Mini Rex Rabbit at 2009 Summit County Fair

This mini rex rabbit was so gentle, and he looks just like he hopped out of Peter Cottontail. So soft!

Grant climbed the rock wall...

Timed Horse Competition 2009 Summit County Fair Tallmadge Ohio

You could tell by the horse's demeanor if the rider would do well or not. We saw a couple of horses that were pretty sassy and disqualified their riders!

Draft Horse Barn 2009 Summit County Fair Tallmadge Ohio

When our son Grant walked in the barn, all the horses came out to say hi - they know a horsey person when they meet one!

Diligent little man 2009 Summit County Fairgrounds Tallmadge Ohio

This little guy was so intent and serious about raking the floor - very diligent!

Midway 2009 Summit County Fair Tallmadge OhioThe Midway at the fair - I think the best vendors end up on the main midway - maybe they have to pay more for placement, but they are the best, pricewise and quality wise as for our experience.Goats at 2009 Summit County Fair Tallmadge Ohio

These little goats just wanted to get out and play with all the visitors...they couldn't get any closer unless they climbed out!

Lionhead Rabbit 2009 Summit County Fairground Tallmadge Ohio

That is a LIONHEAD RABBIT - yes, I said rabbit. Wow.

Ferris Wheel 2009 Summit County Fair Tallmadge Ohio

Now you are seeing my favorite part of the fair...nighttime and the lights!

Looks like Laura & Tori enjoyed the rides!

Our kids did not love the barn smells, but Jay and I grew up in the country, and it's not a big deal to us.

I guess we are raising city slickers!

This ram was ready to charge - I guess he didn't like the attention...
